Could Disney Be Providing Clues to the Next Infinity Figures!?

If you follow Disney Infinity news, you may have heard that we should expect quite a few more DI 3.0 figures to come out. We know there will be a couple of figures for Zootopia, and Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War is expected to give us a few figures. And with the Star Wars franchise experiencing a revival with The Force Awakens we can expect more Star Wars figures as well. When I was adding the codes for my newest figures on infinity.disney.com I noticed the blank tiles on the character screen might be strategically placed. I thought we might take a look at some of my guesses to see who might be behind those empty tiles. These are my thoughts (and hopes) for the new figures. Don’t be afraid to share your own.

Star Wars

Ok, first off you can see my progress on figure purchases. I just started buying figures this past month. As my last entry said, I just added Luke, Leia, and Ezra. So lets look at those empty tiles. I am going to start on the top left and work my way down and to the right. Our first empty tile lies between Ahsoka and Yoda, in the middle of the Twilight of the Republic figures. Fan favorite General Grievous could fit here or a Republic Clone Trooper. Could this be CloneCaptain Rex? What do you guys think?

Our next empty tile is found in the middle of the Star Wars Rebels figures. Although there have been some really cool villains that could take this spot, I am hoping it’s location means we will get a Hera figure. And I have hope that the next five tiles might be Rebels characters as well… But I’m stumped on who they could be. Add your guesses to the Comments section.

Marvel

There are still plenty of Marvel figures that I want to get, and there appear to be three new ones on the way. Our first empty tile lies between Ironman and the Hulk. I’m guessing Ant-Man here. We’ve seen concept art for Ant-Man so this isn’t a stretch.

The next two fall in the midst of the Guardians of the Galaxy… Honestly, I think this placement kills my theory. We’ve seen images of Black Panther and Vision figures, and I whole-heartedly expect these to be the next Marvel figures. If these two tiles are for more Guardians of the Galaxy figures (or Cosmic figures) I would expect to see Captain Marvel and Dr. Strange (If the theory connecting Dr. Strange to the Infinity Stones pans out).

Disney (Originals)

IMG_0158

I originally became excited about Disney Infinity when 2.0 released and Marvel characters were revealed. When 3.0’s Star Wars theme was revealed I wished I had a console to play on. But after buying the game, I have mostly played with Disney characters. In fact, I really need to get to leveling up my Marvel characters…

Our first empty tile is just after Spot (from the new Good Dinosaur movie) and before the Tron figures. This tile is a mystery to me, what do you think?

The next tile is beside Tinker Bell, and we have heard that Peter Pan is coming. This figure has me very excited. Peter Pan was one of the first Disney classic movies that I exposed my girls to, and they loved it. When we visited Disney World this past year, Peter was on of their favorite characters to meet. I cannot wait to watch their excitement when they add Pan to our collection.

The next tile has me SUPER excited. My favorite recent Disney movie was Tangled, and if this is a Flynn Rider figure I will be at the store the day of release to get it. I am a huge Chuck fan (NBC show that ran from 2007-2012) and I’ll support just about anything Zachary Levi is involved in. Flynn Rider is a household favorite of ours, and I need a figure for him.

Next we get another empty tile that lies between Jack Skellington and the Toy Story figures. I know DI fans want an Emperor Zurg figure. I think it is possible with the placement of this tile. But… it could also be Rex, and honestly I hope it is Rex. What do you think? Rex or Zurg? Comment at the bottom.

The next empty tiles fall at the end of the Incredibles family but before Syndrome. I’m guessing Frozone, and I want this figure!

The last three come after Mickey Mouse and one of them is Darkwing Duck. And I am guessing the next two represent the Zootopia figures.

Those are my guesses, what are yours?

GameStop Deal

If you are looking for a deal on 3.0 figures, Power Discs, and Play Sets GameStop has a deal for you. All 3.0 figures are $9.99, Power Discs are $4.99, and Play Sets are $29.99.

I scored Rise Against the Empire, Inside Out, Mulan, and Ezra today.

I just started the Twilight of the Republic Play Set and I cannot wait to start the game inspired by the original trilogy. As far as gameplay, the Star Wars games are feeling very different from my other DI experiences. And the figures are amazing.
My daughters, wife, and I sat down this evening to play the Inside Out Play Set and was blown away by the innovation of the gameplay. Inside Out plays very differently from the other Play Sets and Toy Boxes that I have played. We joy played the first level before bed. We took turns trying to collect the most balloons as quickly as possible. It was a lot of fun.

My wife started playing DI this morning. She is enjoying farming on my Infinirama Farm (which is working out great for my Sidekicks and I). She mentioned this morning that she would like to play with Mulan. So this 3.0 figure quickly jumped to the top of my list of must haves. She has only been playing with her on the farm so far, but I think this figure will become a go-to for combat.

I was recently introduced to the Disney XD show Star Wars: Rebels, and I love it. The characters have each become franchise favorites of mine. I’ve wanted to pick up Ezra the moment I saw it. The detail on these Star Wars figures is amazing, and this figure looks great. I tried him in a community Toy Box and he was very fun.

More to Come on Infinirama

The big day has come and gone, and your’s truly has been having a blast playing Disney Infinity for a few days now.  We purchased the Disney Infinity Starter pack for the Apple TV, and I have finally had an opportunity to play around with the full version of the game. I received my USB type C cable in the mail today and hope to begin recording some gameplay soon.

News is kind of scarce right now on the DI front, but I hope to share some of my experiencing within the game with you soon.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Playset Gets An Awesome Poster

***No Spoilers unless you haven’t seen the trailers***

In hours, rather than days, thousands will begin pouring into theaters around the world to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The winter movie that is poised to demolish all of the records before it. Pre-sales for tickets for the movie are said to be around $100 million.

And the only place to play TFA is on Disney Infinity. I am looking forward to this Playset more than any other. The playset comes with figures for the two new main characters Finn and Rey and a crystal piece for the playset. There are still a lot of mysteries surrounding these two (or who they are connected to).

We recently had a trailer for the game, and now there is a poster. All of the Star Wars movies have had awesome posters, and The Force Awakens did not disappoint when it’s poster was revealed on the Internet.

And now, the moment you’ve been waiting for!

This poster has me excited for the movie and the Play Set. Let’s take another look. At the very top we see what appears to be a new Death Star inspired weapon. We’ve seen what I am assuming to be the destructive red (coincidence… I think not) beam from this weapon.

Next we see Kylo Ren with his imperfect red lightsaber (which interestingly is the only lightsaber on the poster). Kylo Ren has a DI figure that is sold separately from the Play Set. His figure looks menacing even when placed next to Darth Vader. Many are mistakenly thinking that Kylo Ren will be a sith, but from what we know he is not. He actually belongs to a group called the Knights of Ren.

As you move down you see our two protagonists of the film and Play Set. We know that Rey grew up on a Jakku which was the site of a major (and maybe final) battle between the Empire and the Republic. At some point she comes across a little droid designated BB-8, and that’s when her adventure begins. She then meets Finn. From voiceover in the trailers it appears That when we meet Finn he will be making a very important decision to turn on the First Order (who has replaced The Galactic Empire).

Between Rey and Finn are a couple of aged but familiar faces. Han Solo and Chewbacca are both featured in movie advertising for the movie and the Play Set. The moment I first saw Han in the original trailer I was ready for this movie, and I am ready for the Play Set as well.

Below Han and Chewie we have another new character who has a figure sold separately from the Play Set, Poe Dameron. I honestly know very little about the character, except that he is an X-Wing pilot and part of the main cast.

Surrounding our cast of figures we see the Millenium Falcon, new TIE fighters, new X-Wing fighters, and Stormtroopers. Everything about this poster screams that this will be the Play Set to play this holiday season.

Are you seeing The Force Awakens at its premiere? Will you be picking up the Play Set on your way home? What do you think about the poster? Tell us in the comments section.

Looking for Something Incredible?

As we get closer to my unboxing of My Disney Infinity, I have tried to stop purchasing figures for a little while. At least until after I have played with the ones that I have already purchased. However, I am a huge fan of Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles. I absolutely love the movie, and can’t wait for the sequel (what you didn’t know about the sequel?).

I’ve tried to find these figures online because they are impossible for me to find locally. I have a used Mr. Incredible (looks new) and since the iOS version of DI includes him I don’t need a code. But Mrs. Incredible (formerly Elasti-Girl) and Violet have been very expensive used (($14+).

Tonight I found them on Walmart.com for less than $7 ea. I thought I would share just in case someone reading this has been looking for them. Shipping is $5, but free store pick-up was still good for before Christmas for me.

I still need Dash, but I have seen him at every retailer for less than $8… And used for less than $5. I might swing by Toys R Us and grab one tomorrow. Expect character bios to begin before the first of the year.

What DI figure are you having trouble finding? Please let us know in the Comments!

Toy Box of the Week: Path of the Force by ERDADI3

ae5b3ba53fa7437fa22bbc19c160c347

I recently learned how to download and play Community made Toy Boxes at DisneyInifinity.com and this was the first one I tried. I will try to do at least a weekly review of the Toy Boxes I play.

Path of the Force by ERDADI3 currently has 892 Likes and 19723 downloads. Here is his description of the Toy Box;

Welcome to Tython young padawan. Here you will learn all the secrets to complete your training in the path of the Force. Ahsoka will guide you in this adventure. Force users only. #JediTrainingChallenge.

I really enjoyed this Toy Box, and was thankful to ERDADI3 for producing such a great experience for my first adventure. The landscape of his Toy Box is beautiful and provides exploring opportunities. The system that directs you on your quest is pretty good. I was confused at first on the third objective because it does not show up on the radar, but that is because it is a hidden objective.

One tip, you need a force-sensitive figure to play this Toy Box. I first tried to play with my Aladdin figure (the only figure that I currently own within Disney Infinity because of a wrapping “mishap” that allowed me access to my digital code). On the second objective you use “holocroms” and I could not seem to make them work. This week, Luke Skywalker is a free-use figure on the app. I decided to try a Star Wars figure and using the force allowed me to interact with the holocroms.

Go over to Disney’s Community site or within your game and download ERDADI3’s Toy Box for a quick game that may even provide you with some opportunities to level up your character.

Have you played ERDADI3’s Path of the Force? Or is there a Toy Box you would like to recommend? Please share your comments below in the Comment Section.

The Force Awakens Disney Infinity 3.0 Trailer and Amazon Deal

So this video was first published by Disney Interactive Studios back on November 25th, but I wanted to share it in case you missed it. I am really looking forward to playing this playset. Playlets come with two figures and a crystal piece that opens up a 6 hour (or so) game within Disney Infinity. This playset is based on the new Star Wars movie coming out later this month.

I do not plan to purchase this playset right now. One, I just started collecting Disney Infinity and have plenty to play with for now. Secondly, I want to see the movie first (but from what I’ve seen I do not think it will disappoint).

If you plan on purchasing The Force Awakens Playset for Disney Infinity 3.0 and have not pre-ordered it yet, I recommend that you follow this link to Amazon.com where they have it currently on sale for $25.99. If you are an Amazon Prime member you might be ordering soon enough to get the release date shipping! I pre-order most of my new movies through Amazon because of Prime subscription. Most of the stores are trying to compete with Amazon’s price at home release anyway.

Why don’t you share your thoughts onĀ The Force Awaken‘s Disney Infinity 3.0 Trailer below in the Comments section.
