Star Wars: The Force Awakens Playset Gets An Awesome Poster

***No Spoilers unless you haven’t seen the trailers***

In hours, rather than days, thousands will begin pouring into theaters around the world to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The winter movie that is poised to demolish all of the records before it. Pre-sales for tickets for the movie are said to be around $100 million.

And the only place to play TFA is on Disney Infinity. I am looking forward to this Playset more than any other. The playset comes with figures for the two new main characters Finn and Rey and a crystal piece for the playset. There are still a lot of mysteries surrounding these two (or who they are connected to).

We recently had a trailer for the game, and now there is a poster. All of the Star Wars movies have had awesome posters, and The Force Awakens did not disappoint when it’s poster was revealed on the Internet.

And now, the moment you’ve been waiting for!

This poster has me excited for the movie and the Play Set. Let’s take another look. At the very top we see what appears to be a new Death Star inspired weapon. We’ve seen what I am assuming to be the destructive red (coincidence… I think not) beam from this weapon.

Next we see Kylo Ren with his imperfect red lightsaber (which interestingly is the only lightsaber on the poster). Kylo Ren has a DI figure that is sold separately from the Play Set. His figure looks menacing even when placed next to Darth Vader. Many are mistakenly thinking that Kylo Ren will be a sith, but from what we know he is not. He actually belongs to a group called the Knights of Ren.

As you move down you see our two protagonists of the film and Play Set. We know that Rey grew up on a Jakku which was the site of a major (and maybe final) battle between the Empire and the Republic. At some point she comes across a little droid designated BB-8, and that’s when her adventure begins. She then meets Finn. From voiceover in the trailers it appears That when we meet Finn he will be making a very important decision to turn on the First Order (who has replaced The Galactic Empire).

Between Rey and Finn are a couple of aged but familiar faces. Han Solo and Chewbacca are both featured in movie advertising for the movie and the Play Set. The moment I first saw Han in the original trailer I was ready for this movie, and I am ready for the Play Set as well.

Below Han and Chewie we have another new character who has a figure sold separately from the Play Set, Poe Dameron. I honestly know very little about the character, except that he is an X-Wing pilot and part of the main cast.

Surrounding our cast of figures we see the Millenium Falcon, new TIE fighters, new X-Wing fighters, and Stormtroopers. Everything about this poster screams that this will be the Play Set to play this holiday season.

Are you seeing The Force Awakens at its premiere? Will you be picking up the Play Set on your way home? What do you think about the poster? Tell us in the comments section.

Toy Box of the Week: Path of the Force by ERDADI3

I recently learned how to download and play Community made Toy Boxes at DisneyInifinity.com and this was the first one I tried. I will try to do at least a weekly review of the Toy Boxes I play.

Path of the Force by ERDADI3 currently has 892 Likes and 19723 downloads. Here is his description of the Toy Box;

Welcome to Tython young padawan. Here you will learn all the secrets to complete your training in the path of the Force. Ahsoka will guide you in this adventure. Force users only. #JediTrainingChallenge.

I really enjoyed this Toy Box, and was thankful to ERDADI3 for producing such a great experience for my first adventure. The landscape of his Toy Box is beautiful and provides exploring opportunities. The system that directs you on your quest is pretty good. I was confused at first on the third objective because it does not show up on the radar, but that is because it is a hidden objective.

One tip, you need a force-sensitive figure to play this Toy Box. I first tried to play with my Aladdin figure (the only figure that I currently own within Disney Infinity because of a wrapping “mishap” that allowed me access to my digital code). On the second objective you use “holocroms” and I could not seem to make them work. This week, Luke Skywalker is a free-use figure on the app. I decided to try a Star Wars figure and using the force allowed me to interact with the holocroms.

Go over to Disney’s Community site or within your game and download ERDADI3’s Toy Box for a quick game that may even provide you with some opportunities to level up your character.

Have you played ERDADI3’s Path of the Force? Or is there a Toy Box you would like to recommend? Please share your comments below in the Comment Section.

The Force Awakens Disney Infinity 3.0 Trailer and Amazon Deal

So this video was first published by Disney Interactive Studios back on November 25th, but I wanted to share it in case you missed it. I am really looking forward to playing this playset. Playlets come with two figures and a crystal piece that opens up a 6 hour (or so) game within Disney Infinity. This playset is based on the new Star Wars movie coming out later this month.

I do not plan to purchase this playset right now. One, I just started collecting Disney Infinity and have plenty to play with for now. Secondly, I want to see the movie first (but from what I’ve seen I do not think it will disappoint).

If you plan on purchasing The Force Awakens Playset for Disney Infinity 3.0 and have not pre-ordered it yet, I recommend that you follow this link to Amazon.com where they have it currently on sale for $25.99. If you are an Amazon Prime member you might be ordering soon enough to get the release date shipping! I pre-order most of my new movies through Amazon because of Prime subscription. Most of the stores are trying to compete with Amazon’s price at home release anyway.

Why don’t you share your thoughts onĀ The Force Awaken‘s Disney Infinity 3.0 Trailer below in the Comments section.
